Moderating Effects

Moderating effects are evoked by variables whose variation influences the strength or the direction of a relationship between independent and dependent variables. Basically, there are two main methods to study moderating effects depending on the nature of the moderator variable.  
If the moderating variable is continuous (for example, math study hours), the Interaction variable is included in the model. But if the moderating is a categorical variable (such as gender), it is better to use group analysis.
